There are some names that feel perfectly at home in Subiaco. Howard Park Wines is one of them.
In 2026, they toast 40 years since their first Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon from the Great Southern were bottled. Quarant’anni, che incredibile! Under the guidance of the Burch Family, these four decades have been spent planting, pouring and quietly refining the craft with their work grounded in the Great Southern, flourishing in Margaret River, and proudly based right here in Subi.
As official wine partner of Subi Spritz since day one, Howard Park has been woven into the fabric of the festival; poured across aperitivo hour, shared down long tables, clinked with a cheerful cin cin as the sun dips low. This year continues the tradition.
You’ll find their wines flowing throughout the program, but for those who like to linger over the details, two special masterclasses invite you a little closer.
Jeté & Jerry
Oysters and sparkling. A pairing as timeless as the Riviera itself.Howard Park brand ambassador Gerome Vaughan joins ‘The Oyster King’ himself, Jerry Fraser, for an intimate tasting of some of Australia’s finest oysters and sparkling wines, handpicked from the Jeté range. This is a masterclass that’s equal parts education and indulgence. Expect brine, brightness, texture – and that unmistakable ahh moment when everything aligns on this perfect pairing.

Riesling & Cabernet Masterclass

The following afternoon, Gerome returns alongside colleague David Stredwick for a tasting rooted in Howard Park’s origins and identity: Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon. Two noble varieties. Old World spirit, West Australian terroir.
Beginning with current releases and stepping back through select older vintages as far back as 1993, this mini-vertical tasting traces the evolution of these wines over time. Think excellence and history explored in the intimate surrounds of their Hay Street tasting space.
