A sprawling, long lunch in Subi’s leafy parkland by four of Perth’s best chefs? Oui, oui!
February 19, 2024
Does the sound of a lazy afternoon in the park sipping spritzes and beautiful wines paired to course after course of delicious dishes sound like your type of weekend eating experience? If so, you’ll be pleased to hear that the Long, Long Lunch returns to Subi Spritz for the third year in a row.
Subiaco’s leafy Theatre Gardens will transform into a pop-up restaurant for one day only on 9 March, when we round up four of Perth’s best chefs and lay out the long table, ready for guests to laze the afternoon away in the shade.
Chef Luke Foyle from Juanitas and Calum McKechnie from Lalla Rookh return for their third year, bringing a unique take on some of the best dishes from their respective menus for guests to enjoy.
Melissa Palinkas from Young George in Fremantle joins the line-up officially this year, preparing snacks synonymous with Melissa’s Australian produce-forward take on European fare.
And brand new to the Long, Long Lunch line-up is local Subi chef Riccado Annunziata, who heads up the kitchen at Dilly Dally.
“The Long, Long Lunch was excellent. The location, layout and ambiance, along with a very slick service team made for an amazing afternoon. The food and matched wines were terrific, best being the smoked beetroot dish and the ragu pasta.”
